Outpatient behavioral health treatment is a non-residential, flexible care model where individuals receive group, couples, family or individual counseling, or psychiatric services for mental health or substance use without an overnight hospital stay.
A recovery support navigator (RSN) is a peer specialist or paraprofessional who supports individuals with substance use or mental health disorders by helping them navigate treatment systems, overcome barriers, and build a stable life in recovery. They function as mentors, offering individualized support such as connecting clients to housing, healthcare, employment, and support groups.
A Community Support Program (CSP) is a mobile, community-based service providing intensive case management to individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or complex health needs. It focuses on improving daily living skills, coordinating care, and securing housing or benefits to foster independence and prevent hospitalization.
A therapeutic mentor (TM) is a trained paraprofessional who provides one-on-one, goal-oriented support to youth (often under age 21) struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges. Operating outside the therapy room, they work in homes or communities to build life skills, social skills, and coping strategies, complementing the work of licensed clinicians.

EOPC’s mission is to eliminate the barriers of shame and fear associated with behavioral health challenges for children, families, and adults. We are creating a behavioral health movement by increasing the accessibility of care, providing culturally competent services, increasing diversity in healthcare, and actively reducing health disparities in our community.
